JMAC Civil successfully finished a two-month infrastructure project for Minjar Gold, where they designed and built a new Core Shed in Marvel Loch, Western Australia (Tianye SXO).
The project deliverables included removing the old shed, performing earthworks, installing concrete footings and slabs, constructing a concrete waste pit, placing a new protective dome, and installing all necessary electrical and data infrastructures.
This mining infrastructure project required designing and constructing a new core shed and removing the previous one.
Once built, the new shed enabled the client to house four additional drill rigs, equating to a production increase of 300%.
During the construction phase (concreting & operational cranes), Minjar’s exploration team also performed work on-site.
Despite the challenges and potential safety risks, all barriers were overcome with minimal disruption to either party via regular pre-start meetings and clear communication.
Zero safety incidents or LTIs occurred throughout the duration of the project. The scope was completed on time and within budget.
